COVID-19 UPDATE

Late this afternoon, Governor Polis ordered that all gyms in the state of Colorado close for a period of 30 days. Following this directive, CrossFit Pandora’s Box will close (effective immediately) during this period. We understand it is up to each and every one of us to help mitigate the spread of this virus and its devastating outcomes on the elderly and those with compromised immunities.

As previously mentioned, we will be setting up an online program for all members to follow from their homes, whether you have equipment or not. More information about this program will be announced soon.

We understand that this is a tough time for all of us…

  • If you are a member that has been displaced financially, please talk to us and we will do what we can to work with you.
  • We understand that training at your home isn’t the same as training at the box in a class setting, but if you are able to afford it, we encourage all members to continue their memberships until this situation is past us. The hard reality is that if we lose gym memberships, there may not be a gym for members to return to.

In addition to the new online programming, we have discussed weekly challenges with prizes, small group training at Tami and Jared’s garage gym, equipment borrows (please contact Tami directly), streaming yoga with Jenney and planning a huge post-corona party with lots of donuts… and beer (not Corona).

THANK YOU! Thank you to everyone who came out Saturday, has donated, or has supported this program in some way. We cannot keep this going without your support.

We’ve raised over $2,200 this past week! This is enough to keep the program going at its current rate for another year!

Randall Gorman (TWMCS recipient #2) hosted the Taylor White Memorial WOD and Fundraiser at his gym, Catahoula CrossFit, and they raised an additional $500!!!

Thank you also to Piglatin Food Truck for showing up with good eats, 5 Star Nutrition, Scott for setting up his table, and those that documented the event. We also had a good number of folks come out from other gyms, thank you! This is a program that has a positive effect on the entire community, so we appreciate seeing new faces.

Taylor White Memorial WOD and Fundraiser

SATURDAY, MAY 18 AT 11 AM AT CROSSFIT PANDORA’S BOX

Please come out for the 2nd annual “Taylor/Tyler” Memorial Workout and Fundraiser!!!

We are asking $10 PER PERSON to participate in the workout. You can make this donation via the GoFundMe (bring your receipt) or with cash/check the day of. ALL MONEY RAISED will go directly to the Taylor White Memorial CrossFit Scholarship fund. We will have a donation jar at the event so you have the opportunity to give even more.

ALL ARE WELCOME to join, CrossFitters, friends, family, everyone. We will have a variation of the workout that everyone can participate in.

GORUCK Tough

 

GORUCK Tough is a physically grueling team event that lasts anywhere from 10 to 12 hours and covers 15 to 20 miles. Participants must carry weighted backpacks—aka rucksacks—loaded with 20 or 30 lb., depending on the weight of the participant. The challenge leaders emphasize team focus throughout the challenge, and the event should never be mistaken for a simple race.
